What might it mean to think of imagination as a gateway to truth?
We often talk as if the imaginary were the unreal, but many writers, from Coleridge to Marilynne Robinson or Malcolm Guite have underlined the way imagination allows us to rethink and re-locate the ordinary things of our experience.
We will discuss a few modern writers in this connection, but also look at what we make of the language of scripture and sacrament if we start from here.
