Volunteering for Endelienta and the North Cornwall Book Festival
Endelienta is looking for new volunteers to support our team of three paid staff members in delivering our programme of concerts, exhibitions, workshops, literature events (including the North Cornwall Book Festival), reflective days and outreach projects in the local community. Our events run over three seasons – January to April; May to July; September to December.
Volunteers are at the heart of the organisation and hold a variety of roles ranging from key responsibilities to casual roles. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences into the organisation, including those who are looking for experience in arts management, administration or operations, people who have appropriate specialist skills and those who want to get involved in arts in the local community in North Cornwall. Our volunteers might give anything from a few hours a year to a few hours a week. All we ask is that you are someone who enjoys the arts and believes in the role the arts have to play in our lives.
We are a friendly team and will give you a very warm welcome. As an Endelienta volunteer you will be able to experience the arts in various forms behind the scenes, meet new people, be inspired by the wonderful music, literature and arts events that we put on, and be part of the exciting development of making St Endellion a thriving arts centre for North Cornwall with a growing reputation.
Young people looking to develop skills, gain work experience and learn more about working in the arts are welcomed and can be accepted for shorter periods such as 3 – 6 months depending on the time of year.
We do not have an office so many of the administrative tasks are done from home. Most of our events take place in our beautiful main venue – St Endellion Church, above Port Isaac – or in one of the other buildings on the St Endellion campus. We can re-imburse travelling expenses.
